Restaurants open on Christmas Day

Let someone else sweat over a hot stove for you this Christmas Day! Some of the Gold Coast’s best restaurants will stay open serving sumptuous feasts for you this year. Remember, you may need to book in advance to get a seat at the table!

Or, you can stock up on supplies at the brand new Woolworths or Aldi at the newly redeveloped Strand at Coolangatta, and cook up your own meal in your fully equipped kitchen in your Ocean Plaza Resort accommodation.

See the Gold Coast Bulletin’s list of restaurants that will be open Christmas Day.

New Year’s fireworks

Two timezones equals twice the fun! Double up on your celebrations by celebrating New Year’s on the Queensland and New South Wales border.

Hop over the border to Jack Evans Boat Harbour for midnight fireworks (11pm QLD) and then head back over to Coolangatta beach for fireworks at 9pm and 12pm Queensland time.

Twin Towns has a huge range of New Year’s Eve activities – a cocktail function at Horizons, pool party at Club Banora to a stylish event at Breezes Bar. See the Twin Towns website for more on its Christmas and New Year’s Eve functions and entertainment options.
