Plus, they get to join legendary Olympian Michael Klim on the starting line for the Milk and Co Queensland Ocean Swim Series final event.
Whether you’re a newcomer to ocean swimming, an elite swimmer or looking for the ultimate surf challenge, there is an available course for you at the Cooly Classic.
Choose from Cooly Classic 2.0 – the main event that begins the popular Snapper Rocks surf break. It also follows the coast north passing Rainbow Bay, Greenmount as well as Coolangatta enroute for the legendary finish at Kirra Beach.
Meanwhile, the Cooly 1000 is a kilometre-long short course that stretches from Coolangatta to Kirra Beach. This course is perfect for amateur ocean swimmers.
The 300m Kids Dash is the perfect introductory event for kids who are new to open water swimming. It also offers them an opportunity to experience the thrill of a beach sprint finish. This event is free for kids aged 8 and above. Family and friends are similarly encouraged to swim alongside the kids.
The Cooly Classic Ocean Swim will be on March 30, 2014 and will start at Snapper Rocks beach. The event is a quick walk and drive from our Coolangatta Accommodation.
